Hunger Relief Children Community Discipleship
Join us as we demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in tangible ways and make a direct, positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
Adopt-A-Block
Volunteers led by Dream Center staff select a block in a neighborhood they adopt as their own. The group goes door-to-door meeting the most basic needs residents may have. Acts of service may include picking up trash, mowing a lawn, planting flowers, washing windows, painting a house exterior, shoveling snow, and so much more. The goal is to build relationship with residents and assist them in gaining value of their own block and community. Residents are encouraged to get connected to their community by getting involved in community programs and local churches.
Monday Chapel & Meal
Monday we have a chapel service where we gather as a community to worship, pray, and share God's Word. After Chapel, a hot-meal is served as we strive to build relationships with those in our community.
Discipleship
Jesus commanded us in Matthew 28:19 to go and make disciples. We’re very intentional about fulfilling the Great Commission, offering both individual and small-group discipleship opportunities. Our individual discipleship sessions focus on personal spiritual growth, providing one-on-one guidance and support. Small groups foster community and accountability through shared study and prayer.
Community Outreaches
Several times a year we host a one day community or holiday outreach in various Pittsburgh neighborhoods partnering with local churches and organizations. We offer free services and goods during this outreach. Our goal is to help foster personal and spiritual growth long-term between the residents and local partners.
Street Outreach
Each Sunday evening we go downtown Pittsburgh and minister to those on our city streets and those in homeless camps. We offer a hot meal, clothing items, blankets, and other personal items to help meet basic needs and foster relationships.
Mobile Food Bank
In desiring to continue to make a greater and consistent impact to those who are not able to receive sufficient assistance or have barriers in getting aid, because of physical and transportation issues; we launched a Mobile Food Bank program where we take food to east side Pittsburgh neighborhoods on a weekly and monthly basis.
Summer Fun
In the summer, we offer a Vacation Bible School program for children in the community. The program includes food, games, and teaching that points children to Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
Mission Trips
We offer year-round mission trips. Our heart's desire is to provide a hands-on, heartfelt, engaging ministry experience that would encourage you beyond our city to reach yours. By joining us, you’ll deepen your faith, grow as a leader, and form meaningful relationships with those you serve alongside.
